First Blog

Hey everyone! This is Emily. I have decided to start a blog... I know... I am a little behind on the times. I wanted a blog where I could sit down and get some of my creative juices out. I will be mostly using this blog to talk about costuming and stuff of that nature. I attend a LARP called Avalon LLC. Here is the website: www.avalon-larp.com It's good stuff, trust me.

I recently bought a really amazing piece. I was messing around on Etsy and happened to find this really amazing seller. Damsel in This Dress! There had been a bodice design on my mind. A really sexy bodice with tails... but I had no ideahow to begin to make one. Then I found this:

Isn't it the most amazing thing you have ever seen? I thought so. So now I am trying to plan my characters new costume around this bodice. I am currently in the process of making a new cloak. It is black linen with a gold panne velvet lining. When I get it finished I will definitely post a picture of it!

I did have a good find yesterday also. I was in Charlotte Russe with my wonderful friend Kim. We were looking at just some basic corsets. I find this really awesome purple one I liked but some of the threading had come undone... at first they were only going to give me 10% off but after the cashier talked to the manager she gave me 50% off! It is nothing I cannot fix in 10 minutes.

I am going to use that corset with an NPC I am playing... No details can really be put out about the character but I can talk a little about her costume. It is red/purple/ and black. I am currently working on a black square skirt and a ribbon skirt that is to be worn underneath. Kinda bummed that I have to surge all the "ribbons" but I think it will be worth it. I got these boots to wear with this outfit.

Add some sexy red and black thigh highs, some purple fishnet armwarmers and some makeup... I think this is going to turn out really well! I will post a picture once the costume is complete.

Well, Time to get to work. I'll update everyone later about these pieces along with any new projects I will be starting.

Toodles~
Emily
